The Cistern Court
A shaded stone room that stores the year's rainfall and cools the air moving through it.
The cistern is cut into the rock and lined with lime render in the local tradition, holding 240 m³ at capacity.
Evaporative cooling from the open water drops the court several degrees below the terrace above it — the coolest room on the site has no mechanical system at all.
